Space of a dual personality

Semestral Project

Studio Vašourková & Zavřel

Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague, 2012

The task of the project was to create an object, with a maximum volume of 100 m3, in which two opposite personal moods are imprinted. The choice led to harmony and chaos and the idea was to create a space that could be described as an orderly mess.

Harmony is shown in a rigid distribution of seven frames that create the volume of the entire object, while chaos is symbolized by the slight distortion of every frame. A simple form could serve as a gazebo in nature or as a tiny architecture in the public space in the city.
